BOOK OF QUESTION
Pablo Neruda, a Chilean poet-diplomat and politician, won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971. He gained recognition as a poet at the age of 13 and wrote in various styles, including surrealist poems, historical epics, political manifestos, and a prose autobiography. For this project, I will design a series of book jackets for three of his poetry collections.
Final outcome
Draft and design concept

At the time Neruda composed these poems, there were no electronic devices, so the works were done on paper. I wanted to use the design of the paper to connect him, who wrote these words, with the book that is now published. I wanted to present the elements of the book in my design by cutting paper.
River as a main idea of this project Using the river as a source of inspiration, I linked Neruda's poetry books. The three books were written at different times, and I wanted to represent the passage of time through the river, to link the three books.
Neruda's different poetry collections contain his different emotions. I would like to use different colors to distinguish the different emotions in his poems. I designed the cover of the book by combining the elements of the poems and the colors that represent the emotions.
